Visibility Gold Roadmap | Sample Evidence Report
Nova Bennett, Clinical Nutritionist. Willoughby, Sydney, and online across Australia.
Prepared by James Burgin | Thriving Practitioners | September 2026
Sources: Google Search Console export, last three months. Google Business Profile
capture. Live site crawl. Names, suburb, business name and page addresses have been
changed. Every number is real.
What you are looking at. This is a real Visibility Gold Roadmap evidence report for a real Sydney clinical nutritionist, published with her permission. Her name, suburb, business name and page addresses have been changed. Nothing else has. The numbers, the findings and the plan are exactly what she received.
We chose this report because it is not a story about a neglected website. Her site is well built, her articles are referenced and regular, and her structured data is better than most practices several times her size. She has done the work. The report shows why that work was not yet turning into clients, and how little it takes to change that. Throughout, the gold boxes marked The principle translate each finding into something you can check on your own site today.
“I’ve learnt that the most successful practitioners aren’t necessarily the most talented clinically. They’re the ones who understand that helping people find you is just as important as helping them heal.” James Burgin, former naturopath and digital marketing strategist, founder of Thriving Practitioners
01 | The finding
Google showed this site 3,259 times in three months. 43 people opened it. The door was already there. It just wasn’t open.
Here is the surprising part. The pages ranking highest were the ones earning least. The About page sat at position 5.17 across 150 impressions and took no clicks. The Contact page, 135 impressions, none. The Services page sits at 3.44 and took one. The initial consultation page sits at 2.46, higher than almost anything else on the site, and took none. Four booking pages, 407 impressions, one click between them.
The causes are mechanical rather than strategic, which is good news. Three pairs of pages share an identical title tag, so searchers see the same blue link twice and choose neither. Nine service pages carry no h1 because the top line was enlarged rather than styled as a heading. Three of the highest-impression articles have no meta description, so Google is writing its own snippet. Nothing here requires new content, a rebuild or ad spend.
Two further findings shape the plan. First, the only page currently earning is the microbiome testing page: 431 impressions at position 5.85 for 14 clicks, a third of all site traffic. It sells a third-party test without ever saying plainly that a bookable nutritionist reads the report. Second, SIBO accounts for 409 of 1,104 query impressions, more than every other subject combined, at an average position of 64.8. The practitioner holds a recognised SIBO certification and four of her five Google reviews mention gut concerns. The demand, the credential and the visibility are simply not yet connected.
One compliance item was found and became Quick Win 4: the SIBO service page was titled with the word “treatment” and its description opened “Looking for SIBO treatment”. A service page is an advertisement for a service, and the wording needed to sit inside the advertising rules for practitioners. Separately, one article named a prescription-only medicine by brand; raised as a wording suggestion, not as legal advice.
The principle
Ranking and being chosen are two different jobs. Google decides where you appear. The searcher decides whether to click, and they decide it in about a second, from your page title and the two lines beneath it. A page at position 2 with a duplicated title is like a shopfront on the high street with the blinds down.
02 | One picture
The usual Visibility Gold contrast is a strong branded click rate against a weak non-branded one, which proves that people who know the practitioner choose her while strangers cannot identify her. That contrast does not exist here, and its absence is the finding. Both sides are close to zero. The branded bucket is also contaminated: “nova health” alone contributes 76 of its 139 impressions and is almost certainly a large national brand that shares her first name, not this practice. Her actual name drew 21 impressions in three months.
So this is not a practitioner whose reputation is failing to convert. This is a practitioner early enough that every visitor is a stranger, which makes what appears in the results list the entire conversion mechanism. That is why Wins 2 to 6 are all about the results list rather than about the site itself.
| Page | Impressions | Clicks | CTR | Position |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| /microbiome-testing | 431 | 14 | 3.25% | 5.85 |
| / (home page) | 261 | 8 | 3.07% | 8.98 |
| /product/microbiome-test | 167 | 6 | 3.59% | 19.9 |
| /post/sibo-management-protocol | 908 | 5 | 0.55% | 39.15 |
| /about | 150 | 0 | 0.00% | 5.17 |
| /contact | 135 | 0 | 0.00% | 12.05 |
| /services | 98 | 1 | 1.02% | 3.44 |
| /initial-consultation | 24 | 0 | 0.00% | 2.46 |
Read the last four rows together. Position is not the problem. Appearance in the list is.
The principle
Your branded click rate is your reputation, measured. When people who search your name click you nearly every time, you have a recognition problem, not a trust problem, and the fix is visibility. When neither branded nor non-branded searches click, as here, the fix is the results list itself: titles, descriptions and the clarity of what each page is for.
03 | Six-lane health check
Scored from the evidence in the export, the profile capture and the crawl. Every score is justified by the note beneath it, and every score is a starting line, not a grade.
How cleanly the site is put together
Fast page-builder site with canonical tags in place. Held back by nine service pages with no h1, three pairs of pages sharing a title, one description on the wrong page, three missing entirely, a duplicated word live in a title, and two retired URLs still outranking their replacements.
How much useful material exists, and how well it is built
Over forty referenced, on-topic, bylined articles published regularly. Held back by length: the 908-impression SIBO article is a two minute read, and no page carries a summary block.
How well the site routes a reader from reading to booking
Service links do exist inside articles and the navigation is thorough. Routing is diffuse, links sit in end-of-post blocks rather than in the reading path, and duplicate URLs split the signal.
How well ready-to-book visitors are converted into enquiries
407 impressions across the four booking pages produced one click. No phone number visible anywhere on the site. The strongest page sells a third-party test rather than a consultation. This is the lane with the most room to move, and the fastest.
How clearly the practice reads as a real local business
Profile live with correct categories, complete hours, fortnightly posts and a 5.0 rating. Against that: no name, address or phone on the website, areas served limited to one suburb, attributes and Q&A both empty, one of five reviews replied to.
How easily an AI assistant can quote the practice accurately
A strong entity graph: Person, LocalBusiness plus ProfessionalService, sameAs, knowsAbout, areaServed, FAQPage on four service pages, breadcrumbs and author bylines. Missing opening hours in the markup, no summary blocks, no hub page.
The principle
Six lanes, because a practice can be strong in one and stalled in another. This practitioner scores well on content and AI readiness, the two lanes most people assume are the hard ones, and low on ready-to-book capture, the lane that pays. The scores are not a report card. They tell you which lane to work in first so effort goes where it returns soonest.
04 | One story, told four times
Google reads a practice in two places, your Google Business Profile and your website, and rewards agreement. Inside the website it reads your services in three places again: the home page, the services overview page, and each individual service page. When all four say the same thing in the same words, Google and AI assistants can describe you with confidence. When they drift, the signal splits.

| What Google reads | Your website says | Your Google profile says | In step? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. What you are | Clinical Nutritionist, association-accredited member | Nutritionist (primary), Women’s health clinic | yes |
| 2. Reputation | No reviews or testimonials shown | 5.0 from 5 reviews, 1 replied, no Q&A, no attributes | no |
| 3. Hours | Nothing stated | Complete, six days | yes |
| 4. Services | 9 named services | 6 items, 3 missing, 2 named differently | no |
| 5. How to book | Online bookings, free 15 minute assessment | Appointment link points at the home page | no |
| 6. Gut microbiome testing | Best page: 431 imps, position 5.85, 14 clicks | Phrase absent entirely | no |
| 7. Phone | Not visible on any page; exists only in the site settings and the markup | Listed | no |
| 8. Where you work from | Willoughby, online Australia-wide. Markup gives street number 12 | Pinned at 12a. Areas served: Willoughby only | no |
| 9. Products and programs | 3 tests, 2 ebooks, 2 programs, all priced | Consultations only | no |
Categories were confirmed correct against five comparable live listings nearby. Recommendation: keep both, add none, remove none. Two items needed the practitioner’s answer before anything was saved: whether the street number is 12 or 12a, and whether clients can attend in person.
The principle
Use the same words everywhere. If your profile says “Nutritionist”, your home page says “gut health expert”, your services page says “consultations” and the service page is titled “Initial appointment”, Google has four descriptions of one thing and trusts none of them fully. Pick the wording your clients actually search for, then repeat it on all four layers, word for word.
05 | The two plays
Weeks 1 to 4
Nothing new is created. Existing rankings are made clickable.
Target: the 407 booking-page impressions and the 285 on About plus Contact. Directional only. Confirm in Search Console at week 8.
Weeks 4 to 12
409 impressions of SIBO demand at position 64.8, a SIBO-certified practitioner, and no Australian page owning the subject.
This is the play that changes the shape of the practice rather than the shape of the results page.
The principle
Harvest before you plant. Every Roadmap runs two plays in this order. Play 1 collects clicks the site has already earned but is not receiving, which costs almost nothing and pays within weeks. Play 2 builds the one subject where your credential, your reviews and the search demand already overlap. Most practitioners do it the other way round, writing new content into a site that cannot yet convert the visitors it has.
06 | The 90 days
The principle
Measure the four numbers you changed, not the one number everyone quotes. Total clicks bounce around at small volumes and will mislead you either way. Each win in a Roadmap names the single figure it should move, so at week 8 you know what worked rather than hoping the overall line went up.
07 | What not to chase
Everything below appears in the data. None of it is worth the time it would cost.
The principle
A good plan is mostly a list of things you will not do. Search Console is full of impressions that look like opportunity and are not: brand names you do not own, cities you do not serve, medical phrasing you would never use. Naming them out loud protects your time for the handful of moves that matter.
08 | Caveats and glossary
The two exports do not reconcile, and that is expected. The query export totals 4 clicks across 1,104 impressions; the page export totals 43 clicks across 3,259. Google withholds rare queries for privacy, so query totals always run lower. Page-level figures are quoted for page-level claims and query-level figures for query-level claims. The two are never added together.
Other limits. Category recommendations were verified against five comparable live listings nearby rather than inside the profile itself, as we did not hold manager access. No paid search-volume data was purchased for this tier, so no search-volume figure appears anywhere in this report. Every number traces to the two Search Console exports, the profile capture or the crawl. Uplift is described as directional and is never quantified.
09 | Evidence appendix
Trimmed for this sample. The practitioner’s own report carries the full 62-page and 334-query tables.

| clinical nutrition | 8 | 3.75 | 0 |
| clinical nutrition physician | 7 | 10.57 | 0 |
| post sibo treatment gut repair protocol | 4 | 10.75 | 0 |
Nine of the thirteen are test-brand searches, which is why Win 7 is one paragraph on an existing page rather than a new page. The strays worth naming are “thyropause” at position 9.8 and “clinical nutrition physician” at 10.57.
| Finding | Detail |
|---|---|
| Duplicate title tags | Home and About share “Nova Bennett | Clinical Nutritionist Sydney”. The FAQ page and a retired copy of it share one title. The programs page, a retired duplicate and the perimenopause program page share one title. |
| Missing h1 | Nine service pages: initial consultation, SIBO, thyroid, perimenopause, microbiome nutrition, follow-up consultation, microbiome testing, 7-day meal plan, functional tests. |
| Missing meta description | SIBO management article (908 imps), low stomach acid article (52), thyropause article (43). |
| Wrong meta description | The follow-up consultation page carries the SIBO page’s description verbatim. |
| Live typo | The products category title repeats the business name twice. |
| Heading structure | Thyropause article uses h1 for eighteen separate section headings. |
| Retired URLs still indexed | A retired FAQ address (59 imps, position 3.85) outranks the live FAQ page (8 imps, 19.12). A retired programs address duplicates the live one. |
| Structured data, strong | Hand-built graph: LocalBusiness plus ProfessionalService with telephone, address, price range, areas served, knowsAbout (11 topics), sameAs, offer catalogue; Person node with job title and worksFor; FAQPage on four service pages; breadcrumbs; author bylines. |
| Structured data, gaps | No opening hours specification. Business sameAs lists two profiles where Person lists three. Street number in the markup differs from the profile pin. |
The principle
Every claim traces to a table. A Roadmap never asks you to take a finding on trust. If a recommendation cannot point to a row in your own Search Console export, your profile or your live pages, it does not go in the report.
“The gap between being a skilled practitioner and running a thriving practice isn’t about natural talent. It’s about learnable systems. That’s what I’m passionate about teaching.” James Burgin, Thriving Practitioners
Your turn

Delivered within 7 business days of your intake form. Satisfaction guarantee: if it doesn’t show clear practical opportunities, a full refund within 14 days of delivery. The $199 comes off Pathway to Practice Visibility if you upgrade within 60 days.

Before working through James’s Visibility Sprint and courses, I felt completely stuck — not showing up on Google, not understanding my website, my content didn’t feel aligned. Through his structured and practical approach, I rebuilt my website with clarity and intention. My website and practice now feel aligned, visible, and purposeful, and I can clearly see the path forward.
I’ve realised AI is ok and becoming necessary for our future practice. Also, our input is needed to train AI from our perspective. I had started ‘playing’ with ChatGPT, but I had no idea of the extent to which it could help me in my business.
I’ve been using AI for a while, but this workshop showed me how to work with it in ways I hadn’t considered before—especially when it comes to aligning it with my unique voice and values.
I left with a clear plan for my website and marketing, and a deeper understanding of how to make AI an authentic part of my practice. It was a real breakthrough. Thanks James!
James Burgin shares highly relevant information to use. I have been in practice for 40 odd years and have managed my clinic without AI. My clients are usually word of mouth, but I realise that I need to keep up with what is current.
James Burgin emphasised the importance of having a niche, as I still struggle in this area. He really validated how easy it feels to use AI to generate everything needed for website service pages, marketing, product offerings etc.
