The blank chat box problem
Most practitioners are not short on AI curiosity. They are short on a starting point.
You explain yourself. Again.
Every new chat starts from zero. Your modalities, your clients, your tone, your services, typed out over and over, and the results still sound like everyone else's.
Sunday night, blank screen
You know AI could help with your content and client documents. But you open the chat, stare at the empty box, and go back to doing it the slow way.
Generic answers, generic voice
Without your practice knowledge behind it, AI gives you wellness-blog boilerplate. Helpful-ish. Never quite you. Never quite usable.
The fix is not more prompts. It is teaching Claude your practice once, so it never starts from zero again. That is exactly what a Skill does.
What is a Claude Skill?
A Skill is simply a process document written in plain English, like a well-written handover note for a brilliant new assistant. No code to learn, nothing technical to maintain. It holds everything Claude needs to do a job your way: your voice, your services, your standards, your steps.
You load it once. From then on, Claude follows it automatically, every time. No re-explaining, no copy-pasting old prompts, no starting from scratch.
The Starter Kit gives you five Skills already written for natural health practice, so your first week with Claude is spent producing, not tinkering.
"Hi Claude, I'm a naturopath, I work with women in perimenopause, my tone is warm but professional, please don't make health claims, my services are..." (every single chat)
"Write this week's newsletter."Claude already knows the rest.
The Practice Blueprint: your voice, made permanent
The Practice Blueprint is not a template. It is a methodology James has developed and refined over the past two years of training practitioners in his courses, distilled into a single guided conversation with Claude.
Claude interviews you about your practice in small, easy clusters: who you help, how you work, how you speak, what you never say. It can read your website to pre-fill most of it. What comes out is a living document that becomes the foundation for everything AI does for you.
- You are liberated to sound like you. Once your Blueprint is created and refined, every newsletter, page, post and client document carries your on-brand, unique voice. No more generic wellness-blog copy.
- You save hours each week, and it compounds. Every Skill in this kit, and every Skill you build later, draws on the same foundation. As you refine your Blueprint, all your systems improve together.
- You own it forever. Your Blueprint is a file you keep. It moves with you across tools and platforms, and it grows as your practice grows.
Two years of teaching practitioners showed me the same thing over and over: the moment everything changes is the moment Claude truly knows your practice. The Blueprint makes that moment happen in one afternoon.
James Burgin, creator of the Practice Blueprint method, Thriving PractitionersFive Skills, two guides, one working system
Each Skill does a real job in your practice from day one. Together, they form a system you will keep building on.
The Practice Blueprint the flagship
James's two-year-refined methodology, delivered as one guided interview. Claude asks, you answer, and your practice becomes a living foundation document. Full detail above; in short, this is the Skill the other four are built on.
What it means for you: your unique, on-brand voice in everything you create, and hours back each week as your systems keep improving on one shared foundation. The single biggest upgrade you can make to how AI works for you.
The Offers & Services Skill
Keeps a clear, current record of everything you offer: consultations, programs, packages, prices, inclusions, booking details.
What it means for you: whenever Claude writes an email, a page, or a post that mentions your services, the details are right, consistent, and up to date. No more three different descriptions of the same consultation floating around.
The Weekly Content Interviewer
Instead of asking you to write, Claude interviews you. Fifteen minutes of talking about what came up in clinic this week, and Claude turns it into your newsletter, a blog draft and social posts, in your voice.
What it means for you: a sustainable weekly content habit that starts with what you already know, not a blank page. This is the Skill that keeps paying you back, week after week.
The Client Document Formatter
Takes any client-facing material, such as handouts, plan summaries and welcome documents, and formats it cleanly in your brand style, with careful, observation-based language built in. It also reminds you to remove identifying client details before you share anything with AI.
What it means for you: professional, on-brand client documents in minutes, with privacy and appropriate language handled responsibly by design.
The Skill Keeper the one that teaches you to fish
The meta-skill. Whenever Claude produces something great, you say "turn this into a Skill" and it becomes a reusable tool you own. It also teaches you the two habits that make Skills better over time: after each run, ask Claude how the Skill could improve, and keep every Skill deliberately simple, one job each, no rabbit holes. A monthly tune-up and backup keep your whole collection healthy and yours, on any platform.
What it means for you: you are not just handed five fish. By the end of your first month you will be building Skills of your own, for whatever your practice needs next. This is where efficiency turns into creativity.
Two plain-English guides
Moving from ChatGPT to Claude: how to bring your trained voice and history across, what transfers and what to rebuild, and how to run both side by side if you prefer. Setup & Jargon Buster: plans and pricing, what tokens actually are, how to switch Skills on, and the fixes for the common "I can't see it" moments.
What it means for you: no gatekeeping, no jargon. Every question practitioners asked at our record-attendance Skills session, answered in one place.
Skills to use today. The method to build your own tomorrow.
Most AI products hand you outputs. This kit hands you a working system and shows you how it works, so the capability stays with you.
Up and running
Follow the Setup guide, load your Skills, and run the Practice Blueprint interview. Claude now knows your practice better than any tool you have used.
Producing real work
Your first interviewed newsletter. Your first branded client handout. Your services described consistently everywhere. Time back in your week already.
Building your own
With the Skill Keeper, you start turning your own best outputs into new Skills: an intake summariser, a workshop planner, whatever your practice calls for. You are fishing now.
You do not need to become a tech person. You need five good tools and one simple habit. The kit gives you both.

From a practitioner, for practitioners
James Burgin is a former naturopath and clinic co-owner (an 18-practitioner multidisciplinary clinic in Melbourne) who now leads AI education for natural health professionals across Australia and New Zealand through Thriving Practitioners.
"The practitioners getting the most from AI are not the most technical ones. They are the ones who set it up properly once, then let it carry the repetitive work so they can spend their energy where it belongs: with clients."
The Starter Kit distils the setup James and the Thriving Practitioners community have refined through live sessions, courses and hundreds of practitioner conversations, packaged so you can have it working in an afternoon.
What this looks like in a real practice
Sarah McLoughlan is a practising naturopath and creator of the Chaos to Calm Method, supporting women through perimenopause. She demonstrated this exact system live at our record-attendance Claude Skills session, running her whole setup on Claude's standard $20 plan.
"I'm a clinician first, not a tech person. What changed everything was doing the Blueprint properly, once. Now when I ask Claude for a newsletter or a client handout, it already sounds like me, it already knows my boundaries, and I'm reviewing instead of writing. That's the difference between AI as a toy and AI as part of the practice." Sarah McLoughlan, Naturopath, The Perimenopause Naturopath
"Most weeks I do all of this on the standard plan. You don't need the expensive tier, you need the foundations set up well."
Frequently asked questions
These come straight from practitioners at our live Claude Skills session.
Getting started
I have never used Claude. Can I really do this?
Yes. The Setup & Jargon Buster guide walks you from creating an account to loading your first Skill, step by step, with every term explained in plain English. The Practice Blueprint then does most of the thinking for you: Claude asks the questions, you just answer. Most practitioners are set up within an afternoon.
Which Claude plan do I need? Is it expensive?
The whole kit is designed to run on Claude's standard plan at about $20 a month (roughly USD, check current pricing when you sign up). You do not need the higher-tier plans. You can even explore on the free plan first, though the paid plan gives you the room to use the Skills properly each week.
How long does setup take?
Plan for one unhurried afternoon: guide, account, Skills loaded, Blueprint interview done. From then on, the Skills save you time every week rather than costing it.
Coming from ChatGPT
I already use ChatGPT. Do I have to switch?
No. The Migration Guide shows you how to bring your trained voice and preferences across to Claude, and plenty of practitioners happily run both side by side. What Skills add is a level of consistency and reusability that a chat history alone cannot give you.
What makes a Skill different from a saved prompt?
A saved prompt is a note you paste in. A Skill is a file Claude follows automatically, every time, without you asking. Skills can hold far more detail, work together, and be updated in one place. Think of the difference between a sticky note and a properly trained assistant.
Am I locked in? What happens if I change AI tools later?
No lock-in. Your Skills and your Practice Blueprint are plain-English files that you own and keep on your own device. The Skill Keeper maintains a backup of your whole collection, so if the AI landscape shifts, your practice knowledge travels with you. That growing collection becomes one of your most valuable practice assets, wherever you take it.
Practice and privacy
Is this appropriate for health practice?
The Skills are written specifically for natural health practitioners in Australia and New Zealand. Careful, observation-based language is built into every Skill, and the Client Document Formatter includes a privacy step that prompts you to remove identifying client details before anything is shared with AI. You remain the professional; the Skills are built to support that, not blur it.
What kind of support is included?
The kit is designed to be self-serve: the guides and the Skills themselves answer most setup questions (you can literally ask Claude, using the Skill Keeper). For ongoing human support, live Q&A and a practitioner community, the Growth Hub membership is the natural next step.
How this fits with our other programs
How is this different from Pathway to Practice Visibility?
The Starter Kit gets Claude working inside your practice: your voice, your documents, your weekly content. Pathway to Practice Visibility is the full program for getting your practice found and recommended by AI search. They are designed to work together, which is why your $49 credits toward PTPV within 60 days.
Why is there a founding price?
Early members get the kit at $49 while we gather feedback and add to it. The price will rise as new components are added, and founding members keep everything, including future updates to the five core Skills.
One afternoon of setup. A different working week.
Five Skills, two guides, and the method to build your own. Optimism and practicality, in one small kit.
